Travellers Tales
Yarrawonga in March 2008 The National Get together held in the Yarrawonga Holiday Park brought members from all over Australia together again for what was truly a great rally. It was a week where friendships were renewed and new friends were made. The organizers made sure we had plenty to do but also left us with enough spare time to do as we pleased. Many members visited the Clock Museum, Pioneer Museum, the Arts & Craft/Christmas shop, Alpaca Farm, Citrus Orchard, Fyffe Wines and many more of the other attractions of the area. Entertainment was not forgotten in the evenings with events that included Crazy Whist, Card Bingo, and Trivia Night and on the final evening; great music and sing-along with an Irish flavour as this was St Patrick’s Day. One question some members did ask was why a certain Queensland member was wearing dark glasses at 9.30 in the evening. Bazza provided a BIG BREAKSFAST on the Saturday morning and all members praised the quantity and the quality. The Club Dinner was held on the Sunday evening at the Yarrawonga and Border Golf Club. For $15.00 a head it was equal to a meal served at a top class restaurant for a fraction of the price. All members that attended the Get together would agree it was very well organized and all credit for this has to go to the organizers who spent a lot of time and effort to ensure that it was successful. Well done. |
